Both bars happen to be a foot away from each other, maybe less. They are so close they almost seem like the same bar So that do not be surprised if you find yourself visiting both in the same trip without noticing. People crowd into the bar to get a drink and then make their way outside into the plaza or on the steps of the church El Salvador. Some days it can be difficult to make your way to the bar. |

NO8DO - ‘It has not Abandoned me’ |
|
from aguilas 5 serviced apartments with compliments |
You cannot fail to notice it while enjoy your sightseeing tour across the city; NO8DO is omnipresent, even engraved on Christopher Columbus's tomb that is held aloft by four giant statues in the Cathedral. King Alfonso X rewarded the fidelity of the ‘Sevillanos’ with the words that now appear on the official emblem of the city of Seville. Seville did not abandon the King so it shall be honoured forever with NO8DO ‘It has not abandoned me’. The motto is in fact a rebus, a play on words, made from combining the Spanish syllables (NO and DO) and a drawing in between–the figure ‘8’.
The figure represents in Spanish a skein of yarn, ‘madeja’. When read aloud, sounds like ‘No me ha dejado,’ which means ‘It (Seville) has not abandoned me (the King)’
